The tie rod with microswitch is the component that secures and holds in position the blade cover of the RGV Dolly series model 300 slicer (300/A and 300/S versions). Besides keeping the blade guard firmly in place, it incorporates a safety microswitch: the "micro" detects the correct positioning of the blade cover and, when the guard is not seated, cuts off the machine's operation, preventing the blade from starting.
