Neutral white oil for slicers, 50 ml bottle: the food-grade lubricant specifically designed for the maintenance of professional and domestic slicers, both gravity-feed and flywheel types, of any brand.

It is a highly refined white mineral oil (petroleum jelly/paraffin type), colourless, odourless and tasteless: suitable for occasional contact with food, it protects mechanical parts from rust and oxidation without deteriorating over time and without leaving sticky residues.

What it's for. It should be applied to the sliding points and metal parts of the slicer to keep it smooth-running, quiet and protected:

• rod and sliding guides of the food carriage;
• the food pusher arm and its shaft;
• knobs and screws for thickness adjustment;
• protective film on the blade and metal parts, to prevent rust during periods of inactivity.

How to use. With the machine clean and dry, apply a few drops onto the carriage rod and slide the tray back and forth several times to distribute the oil. Repeat lubrication periodically depending on frequency of use.

Warning: do not use cooking oils. Vegetable oils (olive, seed oils) turn rancid, oxidise and dry out, forming gummy deposits that damage the mechanisms. Use only food-grade white mineral oil like this one.
