Carriage hand guard for FAC and Swedlinghaus gravity-feed slicers, models 195, 220, 250R and 250E. This is the safety shield that protects the operator's hand while pushing the food carriage towards the blade.
What it's for. The hand guard is a mandatory safety component on slicers: it acts as a barrier between the hand and the blade edge during slicing, especially when working towards the end of the piece. If the original guard is broken, cracked or missing, the machine must not be used: this spare part brings it back into compliance.
Important fitting detail. The hole centre distance is 14.9 cm: this is the measurement to check to be certain of compatibility. It is fixed with the two screws in the same holes as the previous guard.
Compatibility. FAC and Swedlinghaus slicers, models 195 / 220 / 250R / 250E, both CE and CE domestic versions. Before purchasing, compare the shape of the part and the hole centre distance with the one currently fitted.
Note. This hand guard is specific to FAC/Swedlinghaus; for RGV gravity-feed slicers (195/220/250) the hand guard is a different part, dedicated to those models.
