RGV CARRIAGE-LOCK CAM

The carriage-lock cam (or eccentric) is the component that locks and unlocks the sliding carriage assembly of RGV slicers, for adjusting the slice thickness or for securing it in place during transport and cleaning.

One spare part per size: each RGV model uses a cam sized to its own carriage — 195/220/250S (code 379), 300/350 BLC (code 433), 350/370 Kelly (code 1088), 19.5/22/25/27.5 (code 830) — they are not interchangeable between different models.

Sign of wear: if the carriage lock no longer holds its position, or is hard to release, the cam has lost its effectiveness and it's time to replace it.

This section covers cams specific to RGV models; for the wider range of eccentrics see Eccentric. For other RGV spare parts go back to RGV Slicer Spare Parts.

Frequently asked questions

How do I identify the right cam for my slicer?
By the model and size of the machine (e.g. 195/220/250S or 300/350 BLC): each size range has its own dedicated code.

What happens if the cam is worn?
The carriage lock becomes imprecise or unstable, risking variations in slice thickness during use.
