In the Digital Dried, hot air is circulated horizontally across the entire tray surface by a quiet rear fan: this motor is the component that spins the fan blade, ensuring even distribution of the heat produced by the heating element while drying fruit, vegetables, mushrooms, meat and fish.
Replace it when the fan no longer turns even though the display is on and the heating element is working, when it spins intermittently or slowly, or if the motor buzzes without the blade rotating: symptoms that lead to slow or uneven drying across the trays.
