Made of transparent plastic, it covers the bowl during mixing and prevents dough, flour and liquids from splashing out, keeping the worktop clean; its transparency lets you visually monitor the progress of the dough.
The rim features a side opening that allows you to add ingredients while the machine is running, without removing the lid.
