Key switch Japan CH17, a replacement part for the control panel of food processing machines (slicers, meat grinders, graters). A key switch replaces the standard on/off push-button with a mechanical lock: the machine only starts when the supplied key is inserted and turned, preventing accidental start-up or use by unauthorised staff.
Replacement is needed when the key turns without engaging the switch, when the internal contact oxidises or wears (intermittent start-up), or when the original key has been lost or broken and a complete new lock-and-key set is required. The CH17 code is stamped on the body of the switch or shown on the control panel's wiring diagram.
