The knife holder pin model 22 brand CGT is the threaded pin onto which the cross-shaped knife is mounted in the mincing assembly of the meat grinder. Screwed into the bottom of the grinding chamber, it acts as the central support: it keeps the knife aligned against the perforated plate (die/disc) so that the meat is cut cleanly as it is pushed forward by the auger.
This is an adaptable spare part for CGT model 22 meat grinders (size-22 grinding body, the assembly's reference standard). It should be replaced when the thread is stripped, the pin is bent, or there is play/wear on the flange: in these conditions the knife no longer runs flat against the plate, the cut becomes irregular, the meat tends to smear, and the motor is overstrained.
