ABO brand knife-holder pin for size 12 meat mincers (code ABOTRI0001). The threaded pin screws into the mincing assembly and holds the cross-blade knife in position against the perforated plate: its flange acts as a stop and seat for the knife, while the threaded section allows the correct clamping to be set. A precise fit between pin, knife and plate is essential for a clean cut and to avoid overheating, mushy mince and excess friction.
Replace it when the thread is stripped or worn, when the pin is bent or has play, or when the stop flange is damaged: in all these cases the knife no longer seats correctly against the plate, causing poor cutting and increased wear of the components.
