Canova gravity slicers have an inclined sliding carriage (38°) that moves along a rod via self-lubricating bushings and lapped pins: the block is the part that anchors and supports this rod to the machine frame, keeping its alignment and correct inclination. If the block becomes loose, worn or breaks, the carriage loses stability or develops play/vibration while sliding, affecting cutting precision.
