Buffer battery rated 3.6V 300mAh (code AGWSELE0118), designed as a replacement for the backup power supply of electronic boards in scales, cash registers and similar control equipment.
Its job is to keep data, settings and the internal clock (RTC) in memory when the machine is switched off or left without mains power. As long as the buffer battery is healthy, the board retains date, time, totals and configuration even while the device is off.
Replace the battery when, on power-up, the machine loses the time, resets the date or forgets its stored settings: these are the typical signs of a depleted buffer battery. A timely replacement prevents the loss of working data and restores the board to normal operation.
