The blade-cover tie rod Ø7 mm length 260 mm is the adaptable spare part for ABO slicers. It is the threaded rod (tie rod) that secures and keeps the blade cover under tension — the guard that covers the non-cutting edge of the blade: a safety component that prevents accidental contact with the blade edge during use and cleaning.
The tie rod screws into the slicer frame and holds the blade-guard disc firmly in place. This is the long version (260 mm); a short 185 mm variant exists with the same Ø7 mm, intended for different configurations/models. Always check the length required by your machine before ordering.
Replacement is recommended when the tie rod shows a stripped thread, a bent rod or excessive play: a worn tie rod no longer keeps the blade cover properly tensioned, compromising the guard and the operator's safety.
