The blade cover is the guard that shields the non-cutting edge of the slicer blade, leaving only the section needed for slicing exposed. It performs an essential safety function: it prevents accidental contact between the operator's hands and the cutting edge during use and cleaning, and helps contain product residue.
This spare part is specific to the TGL 300 CE professional gravity slicer, brand IDEA, and features a hexagonal attachment. It is removed by acting on the rear fastening (tie rod / locking screw), an operation recommended periodically to thoroughly clean both the blade and the inside of the cover.
It should be replaced when it is deformed, dented, cracked or when its fastening is worn: a damaged blade cover no longer ensures proper protection of the blade edge and compromises operator safety.
