The blade cover (blade guard) is the protection that shields the non-cutting edge of the slicer blade. It serves a safety function: by covering the back of the disc it reduces the risk of accidental contact during use, cleaning and sharpening, and helps keep the cutting area tidy.
This spare part is suitable for FAC model 250 slicers, in the inclined and vertical versions. Always check that it matches your machine (disc shape, diameter and type of mounting) before purchasing.
Replacement is recommended when the blade cover is deformed, cracked, chipped or no longer securely fixed: a damaged guard loses its protective function and can interfere with the blade edge. Fitting follows the position of the original blade cover, securing it in its seat.
