anello protezione lama affettatrice sirman modello galileo 350
Blade protection ring for the Sirman Galileo 350 slicer (Ø 350 mm blade set at 38°). Fixed guard, secured to the machine body, covering the blade edge along the section not used for cutting: a component required by the EN 1974 standard. Replace it if dented, out of round or corroded, to avoid contact with the blade and ragged slice edges.
Blade protection ring for the Sirman Galileo 350 slicer, the gravity model with a 350 mm blade set at 38°, a 350x320 mm plate and a 365 mm carriage stroke.
On the Galileo 350 the ring works alongside the blade cover and the blade extractor, but its job is different from both: it is the fixed guard wrapping the edge around the whole circumference except the cutting sector and, unlike the blade cover which comes off at every cleaning, it stays secured to the machine body. It is one of the components required by the EN 1974 standard on safety and hygiene requirements for circular-blade slicing machines with a reciprocating carriage.
It should be replaced when it shows dents or has gone out of round, typically after a knock while removing the blade, or when the surface is corroded. A ring that has lost its shape no longer seats evenly, leaves a step along the edge of the slice and can end up touching the spinning blade. Keeping it in good order also keeps the non-cutting area free of greasy residue, which is necessary for machine hygiene between services.
Spare part for the Galileo 350 slicer with 350 mm blade.
