The blade guard ring screw is the fastener that holds the blade protection ring firmly in place on RGV Special Edition and Luxury 22/25 slicers. The blade protection ring is the safety edge that surrounds the blade, reducing the risk of accidental contact during use, cleaning and slice thickness adjustment. This screw locks the ring to the slicer's frame, preventing it from shifting or working loose against the blade: a small part, but an essential one for keeping the guard firmly secured.

With regular use and frequent washing, the screw can loosen, get lost or strip its thread: when this happens, the protection ring becomes wobbly and no longer properly secured, compromising operator safety. Replacing the screw restores the ring's correct fastening, bringing the blade guard back to its original condition.
