45x7x8 medium-fine grain emery wheel for the sharpener of Kolossal, Berkel Futura and compatible slicers. It is the abrasive wheel fitted to the machine's built-in sharpener: resting its surface against the edge of the rotating blade restores the cutting edge. The medium-fine grain removes very little material and refines the blade edge.

The emery wheel is a consumable: replace it when the abrasive surface is glazed (shiny and smooth to the touch), clogged with metal residue or unevenly worn — in these conditions it no longer sharpens and risks overheating the blade edge. If after the usual sharpening cycles the blade still tears the product instead of cutting it, the first component to check is the emery wheel.
