The 24V AC coil for the new-type solenoid valve (ref. 1.023.024) is the control solenoid that operates the valve. Powered with alternating current (AC) at 24 volts, it generates the magnetic field that moves the internal core and opens or closes the fluid passage inside the solenoid valve: it is the electrical component that turns the control signal into the mechanical movement of the valve. This 'new type' version identifies the recent model and must not be confused with the old-type coil, as the two are not interchangeable. Replace the coil when it is burnt out, short-circuited or no longer energises the core: in these cases the valve stays stuck and no longer responds to the control signal. Safety note: installation must be carried out by qualified technical personnel, with the machine disconnected from the power supply, after checking that the supply voltage is actually 24V AC.
