On the cutter, the belt transmits motion from the motor to the blade assembly in the bowl: with use, the rubber stretches and the ribs wear down, causing slipping, noise or reduced cutting speed during operation. It should be replaced when these symptoms appear or when surface cracking is visible. The same TB2-660 6-rib size is also used on Felsinea and Emmepi brand cutters with an equivalent drive.
