Lift-O-Mat gas springs are hydro-pneumatic, nitrogen-filled elements that generate a constant, controlled expulsion force, with well-defined speed characteristics and good damping properties. They are used to lift, hold and dampen flaps, lids and panels on machines and equipment. The piston should be replaced when it loses pressure and can no longer support the load, causing the flap/lid to drop or close slowly on its own.
