The Z15 pinion for crown gear is a replacement gear for the gear-driven transmission assembly of Swedlinghaus slicers. It is the pinion, the smaller toothed gear, designed to mesh with the matching crown gear in the blade drive unit, with 15 teeth (Z15).
In gear-driven slicers, the pinion-crown gear pair ensures smooth, regular rotation of the blade and allows constant cutting pressure to be maintained even under load. As the teeth wear or mechanical play develops in the drive train, blade rotation becomes irregular or noisy: in these cases the pinion, and if needed the matching crown gear, must be replaced to restore correct motion transmission.
