Safety shield between the hand and the blade during slicing: mandatory component, to be replaced if broken or missing. Hole centre distance 14.9 cm (measurement to check for compatibility). The friction roller is the cylindrical part that, through friction, transmits mechanical motion inside Swedlinghaus slicers: rotating in contact with another surface, it generates the grip needed to drive components such as the automatic carriage feed. Original Swedlinghaus spare part (ref. SWEAFF0002, code RUL1AGWS0163).

Replace it when the roller surface becomes worn, smooth or hardened: in these cases the roller loses grip and starts slipping, compromising motion transmission and the machine's correct operation. A worn friction roller causes irregular feed or no carriage movement at all, directly affecting cutting quality and safety of use. Check the surface condition periodically and replace the part at the first signs of wear to keep the slicer running efficiently.
