The roller is the rotating part of the grater: its punched surface with teeth (hole diameter 25 mm) shreds and grates the cheese by friction and cutting as it turns against the machine's perforated shell. The "complete" version includes the raised flanges for mounting onto the motor shaft.
Dimensions: 76 mm diameter on the tips, 144 mm length, 25 mm hole diameter.
When the roller's teeth become blunt or worn from continuous friction with the cheese, the grater produces a coarser, uneven grind or struggles to shred: in this case the roller needs to be replaced.
