This is the rod on which the carriage - the sliding sled holding the food tray - runs during cutting: it keeps the carriage moving in a straight line and properly aligned with the blade. With continuous use it wears from friction and mechanical stress; a carriage that moves jerkily, shows side play, or is hard to slide is a sign that the bar (and its matching sliding bushes) should be checked and, if needed, replaced.
Compatible with RGV slicer mod. 300 S.
