Knife-holder pin for AMB meat mincer model 22. The pin (knife pin) is the threaded element that mounts and centres the cross-shaped knife inside the mincer grinding assembly. Screwed into the assembly, it drives the knife in rotation and keeps it pressed against the perforated plate: it is this knife-plate coupling that actually cuts the meat.
A pin in good condition is essential for a clean cut and for the life of knife and plate: if the thread is stripped, the pin is bent or has play, the knife no longer stays seated, cuts poorly, heats the meat and wears the plate prematurely. In such cases replacing the pin is the quickest and cheapest fix.
