The knife-holder pin for the size 32 Sirman meat mincer is the threaded pin onto which the cross-blade is mounted inside the grinding head. Screwed into the worm/auger, it acts as the blade drive shaft and, once tightened by the locking ring, keeps the blade and the perforated plate at the correct cutting pressure: it is therefore a key component for achieving a clean, even mince.

Replace it when the thread is stripped, when the pin is bent or worn, or when axial play appears: in these cases the blade no longer runs in proper contact with the plate, the mince turns pasty and the motor is put under greater strain.
