Stamped mesh filter for professional Hoonved dishwashers. This is the perforated sheet-metal filter (stamped mesh) that fits into the wash tank, above or next to the recirculation pump: its function is to catch coarse food debris before it can reach the pump impeller, preventing clogging and motor damage.
With daily use the filter should be removed and cleaned at the end of service; it needs replacing when the mesh becomes deformed, over-perforated or worn at the mesh openings, or when it no longer fits securely into its housing, letting debris pass through to the pump and reducing rinse quality.
