Safety shield between the hand and the blade during slicing: mandatory component, to be replaced if broken or missing. Hole centre distance 14.9 cm (measurement to check for compatibility). Replacement lower column support (sottopiantone), ATA brand, for ATA AL 40 and AL 45 professional dishwashers and glasswashers (ATA Srl, Italian manufacturer of professional warewashing machines; the AL 40 is the glasswasher taking 400x400 mm baskets). The sottopiantone is the lower support of the wash column: the base mounted on the tank bottom into which the column carrying the wash rotors fits, and through which pressurised water reaches the spray arms.

Over the years, limescale, detergents and mechanical stress can crack the support or wear its rotation seat: typical symptoms are a wash rotor that wobbles or turns with difficulty, poor washing on part of the basket and water leaking at the base of the column. Replacing the support restores proper sealing and smooth rotation of the spray arms.
When fitting it, remove limescale from the mounting area on the tank bottom so the new base sits on a clean surface.
