Safety shield between the hand and the blade during slicing: mandatory component, to be replaced if broken or missing. Hole centre distance 14.9 cm (measurement to check for compatibility). Replacement gear-holder pin for model 12 CE meat grinders. It is the shaft on which the transmission gear is fitted and rotates: it acts as the rotation axis and keeps the gear correctly positioned relative to the other parts of the gearbox, ensuring precise meshing between motor and auger.

With wear the pin goes oval or gets scored where the gear runs on it: play appears in the transmission, noise increases, vibrations develop and the teeth of the gear running on it wear abnormally fast. Replacing the worn pin together with the damaged gear prevents the new spare part from being ruined in a short time as well.
When replacing it, it is good practice to clean the seat in the gearbox and refit with light lubrication, checking that the gear turns freely and without radial play.
