The ABS closing disc Ø 10cm (100 mm) is the ring/cover that closes the meat grinder's grinding group, holding the perforated plate and the cross blade against the grinding body. It screws onto the front of the group and keeps the whole cutting assembly (auger, blade, perforated plate) in position and correctly tightened during grinding.
It is part no. (2) in the exploded diagram. Made of ABS - a light, food-contact-safe material that is easy to clean; within this spare-parts family it is also available in an aluminium version.
Replace it when it shows stripped threads, cracks or play that prevent proper tightening: a worn ring fails to keep the blade and perforated plate under pressure, causing meat leakage, uneven mincing or misalignment of the cutting group.
