The blade-cover tie rod is a threaded replacement rod for the Fama mod. 350i / FA333 Duegi slicer. It is the tie rod that holds and secures the blade cover (the safety guard covering the non-cutting edge of the blade) in place, keeping the guard firmly locked during use and cleaning.
It is a safety component: a tie rod with a stripped thread, bent shaft or play no longer secures the blade cover properly, which can work loose or fail to seat correctly, exposing the operator to the blade edge. For this reason it should be replaced at the first signs of wear (damaged thread, deformed shaft, difficulty tightening).
Fitting: adaptable/compatible replacement part for the Fama mod. 350i / FA333 Duegi slicer. It is installed in place of the worn original tie rod, screwed back into the blade-cover mounting seat.
