Safety shield between the hand and the blade during slicing: mandatory component, to be replaced if broken or missing. Hole centre distance 14.9 cm (measurement to check for compatibility). The carriage lock knob, for the RGV Dolly series 220/250 slicer, is the knob that operates the carriage lock (BLC system, sliding carriage lock). It allows the food tray and its support to be unlocked and removed to access the area underneath during cleaning.
For safety, the carriage can only be disassembled with the slice-thickness adjustment knob set to position "0", i.e. with the blade fully guarded. When the knob is broken, worn, or no longer locks the carriage securely, the carriage can become unstable during cutting or fail to lock correctly: in this case it must be replaced.
