The blade cover tie rod model 22/25/275 is the original spare part for securing the blade cover disc on the meat slicer. It is the threaded pin that, screwed onto the blade hub, holds the blade cover (the metal guard protecting the blade edge) in position during use and allows its removal for complete cleaning of the cutting area.

Version with or without micro switch: when ordering, you must specify whether you need the version with or without micro switch. The "micro" is the safety microswitch built into the tie rod: it prevents the machine from starting when the blade cover is not fitted or not properly locked. If your slicer is equipped with this safety feature, choose the version with micro switch; otherwise, choose the one without.
When to replace it: the tie rod should be changed when the thread is stripped or damaged, when the blade cover no longer locks firmly, or when the microswitch no longer trips (the machine starts even with the blade cover removed) or, conversely, prevents start-up even with the blade cover in place. A worn tie rod is a safety risk: replace it promptly with the correct spare part.
