The pressure switch is the component that detects air pressure inside the tub to regulate water intake during the wash cycle: when the level reaches the upper calibrated threshold (60), the sensor triggers closure of the water inlet solenoid valve; as the tub empties, the lower threshold (20) signals the reset. It features a pressure-sensitive membrane and a side connection for linking to the machine's pneumatic circuit.
It should be replaced when the dishwasher stops filling with water, when dishes come out dirty at the end of the cycle due to insufficient water intake, or when the control board signals a level fault.
