The pressure switch detects the water level in the tank through the pressure exerted on a diaphragm and controls the opening or closing of the fill circuit according to the set calibration. When the pressure switch is faulty or out of calibration, the dishwasher may fail to fill the tank correctly, keep letting water in beyond the intended level, or fail to start the wash cycle. If this type of malfunction occurs, check the pressure switch and, if necessary, replace it with a spare part with the same calibration and the same connection type.
