The electric resistance is the heating element that, when current flows through it, produces the heat needed to bring the cooking plate up to temperature. It is a wear part: over time the resistive filament can break or degrade, causing failure to heat, longer warm-up times, uneven cooking or temperature that does not stay constant during use. In these cases the resistance must be replaced with a spare part having the same electrical characteristics (power and voltage) and the same plate dimensions, to ensure a correct fit and consistent cooking performance.
The spare part is supplied already wired with connection cables, to make installation on the plate easier.
