Safety shield between the hand and the blade during slicing: mandatory component, to be replaced if broken or missing. Hole centre distance 14.9 cm (measurement to check for compatibility). Specific to FAC/Swedlinghaus, not interchangeable with RGV models.

The blade cover disc (blade guard) is the ring-shaped guard that covers the non-cutting edge of the slicer blade, shielding the operator from the edge during use and cleaning. It is therefore a safety/injury-prevention component as well as a finishing part of the machine.
This spare part is specific to the gravity slicers of the Kelly series mod. V 370 (Ø 370 mm blade). Replace it when it becomes deformed, dented or no longer flat: a warped blade cover does not sit correctly against the blade edge, leaves the edge exposed and can interfere with rotation.
Fitting note: STRAIGHTEN BEFORE MOUNTING. Before installation the disc must be straightened/flattened to ensure correct fit and smooth operation.
