3211 grater presser

The 3211 grater presser is the pusher that pushes the cheese towards the grating roller, a spare part for RGV's Maxi VIP8GS grater family, including the Robusta Silver and Maxi Essential versions with removable roller. It is gripped from above and pressed down to advance the piece of cheese against the roller, keeping hands away from the cutting area: it is therefore also a safety component, as well as a working one. On RGV graters the presser is linked to a microswitch that stops the roller from turning when it is lifted, preventing the machine from running with the lid open. It should be replaced when broken, cracked, or when the part in contact with the cheese is worn to the point of no longer giving an effective, safe push. Part no. 3211 for RGV Maxi VIP8GS grater.
