The closing lid is the part that seals the roller compartment of the Maxi VIP 8/GS grater, the RGV model fitted with a removable grating roller designed for easier cleaning. Once the roller has been washed and put back in place, this lid must be clipped back on to seal the opening and let the appliance work correctly, keeping cheese and shavings from spilling out during grating. It is a genuine RGV spare part, ref 3214, made for owners of the Maxi VIP 8/GS or other models in the same removable-roller family, such as the Silver and Maxi Essential versions. Replacement becomes necessary when the original lid breaks, cracks, loses its clip or gets lost: without it the grater no longer closes properly and safe use of the appliance is not guaranteed.
