This is the rotating part that grates cheese and other hard foods against the perforated grating plate inside professional grater machines. The zinc coating protects the roller from corrosion caused by constant contact with food residue and moisture.
The 84x135 mm size is one of the most common measurements used for industrial grater rollers, also produced in chromed, stainless steel and aluminium versions: always check the internal bore diameter (75.70 mm) before ordering to make sure it matches your machine's shaft/hub.
Replace the roller when the teeth/tips are worn or rounded, resulting in less effective grating or increased strain on the motor.
