The sharpener is the device that allows the blade edge to be periodically sharpened directly on the machine, using the abrasive wheels, without having to disassemble it. It is removable to facilitate thorough cleaning of the machine, together with the blade guard and meat pusher. Replace it when it shows excessive play, worn wheels, or when the rotation/feed mechanism no longer works correctly, compromising effective and safe blade sharpening.
