The upper cover protects and completes the top of this guide-plate assembly.
Through wear, impacts during use, or cleaning, the cover can crack, deform or lose its correct fit on the guide-plate assembly: in these cases it must be replaced to maintain protection and the correct fit of the guide plate during cutting.
