USED blade guard (paralama) for the Omas 250 gravity slicer, with square attachment and fitting for an 8 mm tie rod.
The blade guard covers the non-cutting edge of the slicer blade: it has a safety function (it reduces accidental contact with the cutting edge) and helps contain particle dispersion during slicing. It is secured and removed by means of the blade-guard tie rod, allowing quick removal for cleaning and maintenance.
Replace it when it is deformed, dented, cracked, or when the hole/attachment is worn: a damaged blade guard does not seat correctly against the blade and compromises safety.
