The 5-minute mechanical timer is the replacement part for the wash-cycle control of Fimar mussel washer machines. It is a spring-wound timer with no electronic parts: the desired time is set by turning the knob, up to a maximum duration of 5 minutes, and once the time runs out it automatically stops the wash cycle, switching off the machine's motor.
Replace it when the knob no longer returns to zero, when the cycle no longer stops automatically at the end of the set time, or when the spring mechanism is jammed or no longer drives the internal electrical contact.
