An inexpensive but essential spare part: a cracked knob or one with a worn-out shaft hole spins loose on the shaft and no longer allows precise temperature adjustment, while a worn scale makes the set value unreadable. Fitting is immediate: pull the old knob off the thermostat shaft and press the new one into place, aligning the shaped hole with the flat side of the shaft.
