Silicone gasket with lip, profile 4 x 5.5 mm, for Yang brand chamber vacuum machines (e.g. RGV SC42) — sold by the metre. It is the perimeter gasket that runs along the edge of the bell/lid: on closing it seals against the chamber and lets the pump create the vacuum. The flexible lip improves the seal and compensates for small closing irregularities.
It is the most important wear part for the machine's performance: with repeated cycles the gasket flattens, hardens or splits, causing insufficient vacuum or lengthening cycles. Replacing it restores the original vacuum level.
