The auger is the worm screw that pushes meat toward the knife and perforated plate of the meat grinder, inside the grinding mouth.

Available materials: cast iron (sturdy, traditional), stainless steel (corrosion-resistant, better suited to frequent washing) and aluminium (lighter) — the correct material depends on your machine's original model.

How to choose the right part: check the size (the most common models are 8, 12 and 22) and the brand — on some Fama models the same auger is also used for the matching grating assembly.

Compatibility by brand: available for AMB, CEG (mod. TG22/T22), Fama and Fimar, in all three sizes and materials where available.

Frequently asked questions

What material should I choose for my auger?
The correct material is the one originally fitted on your machine; stainless steel is preferable for frequent washing, cast iron for traditional intensive use.

Does the meat grinder's auger also fit the matching grater?
On some Fama models yes, the same auger serves both the meat grinder and the connected grating assembly — always check specific compatibility.
