The blade cover (also called blade guard or blade cover disc) is the fixed guard that covers the unused edge of the slicer's circular blade, leaving free only the portion actually used for cutting. It is a safety component: it reduces the risk of accidental contact with the cutting edge during use, cleaning and maintenance of the machine.
This spare part is suitable for model 250 FIA / Electrolux slicers. It should be replaced when deformed, cracked, chipped, or when the fixing no longer ensures a stable cover over the blade: a damaged blade cover compromises accident protection and must be restored before putting the slicer back into operation.
