Blade protection ring for the Leonardo 350 Sirman slicer
Original Sirman blade guard ring for the Leonardo 350 slicer (Ø 350 mm blade). Fixed guard, secured to the machine body, covering the blade edge along the section not used for cutting: a safety component required by the EN 1974 standard. Replace it if dented, corroded or loose, to avoid rubbing on the blade and residue build-up. Code AGWS19513054.
Original Sirman blade protection ring for the Leonardo 350 gravity slicer, the model with a 350 mm blade, 350x320 mm plate and 370 mm carriage stroke.
The blade guard ring is the fixed guard that surrounds the blade edge and covers its entire circumference except for the sector actually used for cutting. It is one of the safety components required by the EN 1974 standard, which sets out the safety and hygiene requirements for circular-blade slicing machines with a reciprocating carriage, and it must always be fitted and undamaged on a machine in service. Unlike the blade cover, which is removed at every cleaning, the ring stays fixed to the slicer body.
Besides its accident-prevention role the ring also serves hygiene and function: it closes off the blade edge towards the base, prevents product residue from building up in the non-cutting area and keeps the sliding surface clean. A ring dented during blade removal, corroded, or left with a loose fixing is the most common cause of rubbing against the spinning blade, of unusual noise and of slices with a ragged edge.
Sirman spare part, fitted in place of the damaged or worn original. Code AGWS19513054.
