The square tamper is the PVC pusher accessory dedicated to the grater function of the RGV Duetto Plus multi-function machine (unit code 110250). This is the latest type version, designed to safely push cheese, or other hard foods, against the grating roller, keeping fingers away from the working area and ensuring a more even grating result.
The square tamper, latest type, code 110253, fits into the dedicated slot of the Duetto Plus RGV grater accessory and should be replaced when it is broken, worn or lost, so the grater function can keep being used safely. Being a PVC component subject to normal wear from food contact and repeated mechanical pushing, prolonged use can cause it to crack or lose its fit in the slot: in these cases it is advisable to replace it promptly, to prevent the cheese from getting too close to the roller during processing.
